Swamp Rabbit Trail with Proper Bikes!

I'ts December 23rd and I'm off work for Christmas.  Why not try the Swamp Rabbit Trail again?!
So we headed off to Greenville.
At the church parking lot we realized the bikes needed air.
I pull out my $2 flea market bike pump and one pump, two pump...*pop* ...no more pump.
So go to a gas station...no air compressor...but the next station has one.
We scrounge up some quarters.  Fumble with presta adapters because my back tube is now presta while the other three tubes with us are standard, and finally we have air.
Back to the parking lot and off we go.  We had to dodge pedestrians at the park who were standing in the bike lane but made it to Furman's lake in one piece for a snack and bathroom break.
Once we reached Traveler's Rest we talked about what to do next.  Well, a family friend is only like 4 miles away, let's go visit.  So we fly down the hills and walk the bikes up the hills on a 4 lane 55Mph road for 6 or 7 miles until we reach the house.  A few hours later we are on a busy two lane road fighting hills and an impromptu nosebleed (I must confess I've never had one while riding, this was a first) to get back home to Greer.  (read: The truck that brought the bikes to Greenville is still in Greenville).  5 Miles to my parent's house, we decide to call it quits and call for a lift.
It was a lot of fun and it was nice to be back on my own bike.
